It’s been a twisty, turny week. The good news is that last week’s vignette isn’t entirely totaled, as I had feared. So, my twisty week took a turn for the better. Wonder what’s behind the next bend in the road…

What’s the name of this bendy-branched beauty? And–glad your week is better. 🙂
Thanks, Tina! Just learned yesterday that I still have a vehicle! Hooray – I hate shopping for cars… Anyway, the shrub in the photos is a contorted Quince. 🙂
That is what I thought, but it does happen to look more contorted than is typical.
Really? In that case I hope it stays atypical – it was those curves that made me buy it!
Just because it is atypical does not meant that it is not normal for that cultivar. I had just never seen it before. There are so many that I have not seen. Flowering quince is uncommon here. I really wish we had more.
Aah – I see what you meant… You know, I had thought it would open white. Instead it opened a baby pink, which is not exactly what I wanted to see. Maybe this is the universe’s way of telling me that I shouldn’t have one. At least not this one. I should listen – I really don’t have enough real estate to allow it to shine anyway… 😦
White is my favorite color, but sometimes, it is good to try something unexpected. (I wrote an amusing article about the Karma of stealing pink iris. It was not my idea of course, but the result was funny.)
And I wrote an article over on my other blog pondering what’s up with little girls and pink. I’ll check your article out…

Thank goodness your vehicle can be repaired; shopping for a new vehicle is a pain. Here’s to happier surprises around the next bends in the road!
Amen to that! Happy Spring, Peter!
I love those contorted stems! Glad to hear the truck can be repaired. My WV is tucked into a post on the impact of our long-awaited rain on my garden: https://krispgarden.blogspot.com/2018/03/rain-effects-and-wednesday-vignette.html
They are lovely, aren’t they? I need to find a spot for it where those forms can truly shine!
Yay! What a pain it is to find a replacement car! My WV:

So glad I don’t have to deal with that!
Glad it’s not totaled. I’m hopeful that Spring is around the next bend, although you could never tell that by my WV: http://bonneylassie.blogspot.com/2018/03/wednesday-vignette-never-can-say-good.html
Funny – I’m actually commenting on this from Bend. We just got here, and even here, spring has arrived. I hope It will head up your way, too.
